Meet the Doctors at Pueblo Small Animal Clinic Inc

The Pueblo Small Animal Clinic is a dedicated group of professionals who have a shared vision of providing exceptional veterinary care while displaying unwavering compassion to our patients and clients.

Dr. Ken Smith
Dr. Kenneth Smith has been at the PSAC since 1978 when he graduated as a DVM from Colorado State University.  Ken grew up as the son of a veterinarian in Steamboat Springs. After High School he served in the Army for four years and then moved on to Colorado State in Fort Collins to earn a degree in Microbiology. He married Nancy in 1973. They are parents of four adult “children”. Ken and Dr. Keith Lorensen bought the PSAC in 1995 from Dr. Bill Krause. He spends a majority of time in surgery but enjoys medicine and the challenge of an oddball diagnosis. Ken is active in his church and strives to be compassionate to both animals and their humans.

Dr. Jodi Kading
Jodi Kading, DVM is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine and has lived in Colorado for almost 20 years. She feels fortunate to have chosen veterinary medicine as a career and enjoys both the caring and supportive attitude and the challenges provided at Pueblo Small Animal Clinic. Her other interests include kayaking, camping, gardening and spending time with her husband Kurt and animal family.

Dr. Nicole Burke

Dr. Keith Lorensen (RETIRED)

I have retired from veterinary medicine. It has been a pleasure to work with an exceptional group of committed, caring staff at PSAC for more than four decades. It is my sincere hope that Pueblo Small Animal Clinic will continue to serve pets and their guardians for future needs!
Thank you to all our faithful clients for the years of relying on me for the care of your beloved four-legged (sometimes three-legged) furry companions!
